Florida Disneyland – Our Happily Ever After Magic Kingdom

‘Once upon a time, there was a Magic Kingdom made of hopes and childhood fantasies. A timeless place, where every land was filled with wonder. A place where everyone who entered its gates would be given the gift of the young at heart โ€” the power to wish upon a star and unlock its magic.’

When I first visited Disneyland in Tokyo, I was only 11.

This time I was 28 – As an adult, I started to understand the true meaning of Disneyland. It’s a kingdom where we embrace our inner child, a magical place to remind us of our childhood dreams.

Dressing up as Cinderella & Minnie Mouse, here we are at the happiest place on earth!

Thanks to my hard work the night before – we followed my agenda, starting from the most popular sites to avoid the queue.

9:00 – Castle Musical Play & Fireworks

We went in at 9am as soon as the park was opened – Mickey, Minnie, Pluto and the wider family were already dancing, singing and welcoming us!

9:30 – Peter Pan’s Flight

Followed by one of the most romantic experiences – we saw the lights of London from Peter Pan’s perspective at the top!

10:00 – It’s a Small World

We also visited my all time favourite –  a boat tour around the mini globe with lots of music in our ears.

10:30 Mickey’s PhilharMagic

After the flight & the river tour, we stepped into this 4-D, 12-minute-long show featuring a number of characters from Disney movies.

11:00 Journey of The Little Mermaid

Similar to the ‘Small World’, this Mermaid tour is another musical adventure on the waves, showcasing the journey of the little mermaid.

11:30 Buzz Light-year’s Space Ranger Spin

Our faces looked absolutely intense when firing lasers to defeat Zurg in this shooting game – too intense that I need to hide them ๐Ÿ˜‰

Then I went into my own hot rod, under the hot sun during midday. My driving skills were shocking but we had loads of fun laughing and screaming along the way!

12:30 Photo time with Alice & Cinderella

Since we’ve dressed up already, wouldn’t it be a waste not to take photos with the celebrities here? There was a 10-15 mins queue for taking photos with Alice & Cinderella but it’s totally worth it!

14:00 ‘Move it! Shake it! Dance & Play it! Parade

Definitely the highlight of my day, this well known street party presented us all Disney characters. We arrived the Main Street 30 mins prior to the start of the show for a good spot to take photos / selfies with the big family of Disney!

15:00 Haunted Mansion

This dark, haunted estate was also one of the most popular spots in Disneyland that we loved.

16:00 Mad Tea Party

As if the ‘ghost tour’ wasn’t enough,  I also went into this giant teacup where I was spun around and around and around

17:00 Shopping Time at Main Street

When we pretended to be Pirates of the Caribbean.

19:00 ‘Happily Ever After’ Fireworks

Again we arrived early to secure the best spot to watch the fireworks.

It was the most amazing fireworks I have ever seen in my whole life – with romantic Disney music and a real castle right in front of you. I felt tears in my eyes when these beautiful lyrics flew into my ears:

‘Just look up and reach to the sky. We all have the courage to fly.

The story comes alive, when we look inside.

A new adventure there in your life. There in your eyes.

It’s just beginning.

Feel your heart beat faster.

Reach out and find your happily ever after.’

I turned around – a young man was proposing to his girlfriend with one knee down!

I wish they live happily ever after, just like the all of us.
